Quimby's has my book

I - er ah - cannot confirm nor deny that.

Wrong Quimby, ya noodle.  I'm talking about Quimby's Book Store in Chicago located at 1854 W. North Ave.  They were gracious enough to sell my most recent book Jesus Needs Help about two years ago.  Once again they have the good souls to give yet another leg up to this struggling independent author and artist.

My book, Censor Monkeys Have No Class, is being made available at Quimby's the same time as these other books:

Just like everywhere else, my book will cost $6.50, which in American money I think works out to three M-16 rifles and a chicken.  I'm not too sure what the conversion rate is right now.  Hopefully one of the staff knows.  Either way, whether you want any of the above books or not, it's always a good idea to go to Quimby's for the "full Quimby's experience".  You'll be glad you did.

She could have been a contender

For those who don't know, The Simpsons are holding a contest right now. All you have to do is come up with a new character for the Simpsons universe by October 28. They will then choose the one they think is the best and that character will be featured in an episode that will air on January 31 of 2010. This sounded like a pretty sweet deal, so I decided to try something. However, upon filling out the online form, I found out that this contest is only for people in the United States. I am further north than that. Click my profile to see exactly where I live.

So, since I can't enter my character into that contest in any official manner, I thought I'd just post it up here on my own blog. (That's what my blog's for anyway.)

She's a 100 year old prostitute that I call Maisy. She might have been a fun addition to the Simpsons' universe, if only for one episode. But, alas, her only shot at the limelight is this blog posting. Oh well, them's the breaks, kid.
