Which cover looks better?

This is the first cover I came up with for my upcoming novel. It's the front and the back of course. You can see the blurb right there too. As far as "enticing readers", this may work or this may not.
I know from experience that a book's cover is crucial for its sales. A boring or unappealing cover can ruin a good book making its sales nonexistent. A good cover can go a long way.
In that spirit, my wife took it upon herself to help me with the cover design. She essentially loaded this cover into ChatGPT and asked, "Make this book cover more engaging". Below is her result:

The certainly grab the eye a lot more. I'd like something closer to the second one as well, but maybe looking more like human artwork and not so much like AI. But that's my personal preference. Would people be fine with AI book covers these days?

There are so many questions I'd like answers for before I officially publish this work. Below are a few:

Which cover is more engaging?
Is the book's blurb interesting?
Are you fine with AI covers or deeply against them?

Please answer these questions in the comment section.

I'm writing a novel

You read that correctly. I'm in the process of writing up a writing what I hope could be a gripping novel that I have titled "I'm Coming For You, Mafia".

Yes, Stewie. I have a "compelling protagonist" and a "neat little narrative" that "wraps up nicely" etc etc...

I'll post the basic logline here to give everyone a very basic idea of what it's about.

"One man decides to fight against an entire mafia all by himself."

That's the basic story right there. The main character taking on this mafia is a young man that I've decided is named Garrison Pall. He will also be joined by a female companion..... whose name I will not reveal here for reasons that are my own.

That image at the top is a prototype of a front cover I drew up. I'd like to use it if it works. As anyone who's ever sold a book knows, the front cover is the absolute key to sales. The lucrative lifespan of any book thrives or dies by it's cover. It has to catch the eye in a positive way in no more than 3 seconds.

Does this cover accomplish this? Why or why not? Feedback on this is more than welcome. I need to know if my cover is working or not. I'm only about half way through writing up the first draft, so there's plenty of time to make any urgent changes to the cover or even the title or anything else.

Leave a comment. Tell me what you think so far.
