His 99th birthday

Yep, if the King of Cartoons, namely Tex Avery, were alive today he'd be celebrating his 99th birthday. Not only that, there'd be a lot of more entertaining animated shows on as well. That man's imagination could add life to anything.

Last year I celebrated his 98th birthday by drawing this keen picture. This year, I'll show one of the cartoons he was most known for.

Of course, if you do the math, you can easily figure out that 99 + 1 = 100!!!! Yes, next year at this time it will be Tex Avery's big centennial. It would be great if we could celebrate that all through 2008 with a big budget biographical movie about his life. The man is indeed deserving of such an honour. But, since that doesn't seem to be happening, we'll just have to find our own ways to celebrate. All bloggers and non-bloggers alike should each come up with some sort of tribute, preferably something that could be visible from space. Let's make 2008 the year of the Tex.

Production Company Launches Grassroots Internet-based Outreach to Discover an Unknown Screenplay Writer, and will Finance, Produce, Promote & Distribute their Film

SAN FRANCISCO – March 1, 2007 – Following the success of fellow Bay Area user-based phenomena MySpace.com and

YouTube.com, BMovieOnline.com is set to challenge the film studio model, selecting ONE SCREENPLAY WRITER’S

treatment to finance, produce, promote and distribute as a film.

    CONCEPT

BmovieOnline.com will use the internet and internet communities as a gateway for America’s undiscovered creative talent

to open doors and break down the walls of the Hollywood mansion. The entire film production process will be revealed

online at www.bmovieonline.com, including reality TV style confessionals with all of the “cast & crew” involved.

    THEME

To finance, produce, promote and distribute a full-length independent feature film.

“I’ve lived to L.A. and tried to break into ‘the movie business,’ and found it near impossible,” says B MOVIE ONLINE

founder and CEO Brian T. Nowac. “Nowadays, anyone can make an independent film, but its distribution begins and ends

on YouTube.com via their laptop. They might get 50,000 views but then they’re stuck. B MOVIE ONLINE is made for

these guerrilla screenplay writers/filmmakers– but we’ll use our nontraditional film production, financing, internet buzz and

cyber communities, and get the film off the desktop and on the big screens.”

    PLOT SUMMARY

San Francisco, 2006—Just as Kevin Costner knew if he “Build it, [they] would come” in Fields of Dreams, Nowac scouted

the streets of San Francisco and discovered the experts he wanted for his innovative film production company. Experts in

marketing, music, finance, web design, and film production jumped at the chance to join him in his project, B MOVIE

ONLINE. They designed and built BMovieOnline.com to be a revolutionary communication web site totally driven by

video vs. text; and thus the production of B MOVIE ONLINE began.

On February 21, 2007 BMovieOnline.com – not just a website, an interactive video portal to the behind-the-scenes world of

an independent feature film – was launched. It caught the eyes of thousands of people, in hundreds of cities, in over twenty

countries around the globe, and sparked controversial internet dialogues in cyber communities.

Through April 9, 2007, BMovieOnline.com will accept applications for its Script Writer SearchTM. From this pool of

applicants, ten screenplay writers or script writers will be chosen for “first-round interview” where they will be asked to

submit a full-length version of their script. These writers will also post “behind-the-scenes” videos, drawing viewers into

the excitement of the potential film to be made. Shortly thereafter, the playing field will be narrowed down to three script

writers, who will be asked to submit a video pitch of their script, to be featured on BMovieOnline.com

At that point the script writer selection process will close – and the Script Writers Search will conclude.

This process of talent discovery will then reform to cast & crew the film; again the whole process of talent procurement and

selection will be revealed online through videos on BMovieOnline.com. Imagine, a whole film production process, up close

and personal on videos around the globe, securing the best undiscovered talent for each phase. This behind-the-scenes

footage of the ins-and-outs of an independent film is unparalleled.

The final chapter will be the major distribution and release of the B Movie Online film on screens around the globe,

bringing new characters to the excitement of moviemaking.

  2. He's legit, you can find more information about him at the following:

You wont find anyone who "has been burned by him before" because he is not, nor has he ever been in the business of "burning" anyone.

He can easily see why you would be a bit leery of him or his project B MOVIE ONLINE, being a writer yourself. Many writers are taken advantage of especially when it comes to Hollywood.

However, ask yourself, do you think the people who have shown their faces through video so publicly on the web site would have done so if their effort was not legitimate?

He would very much like to hear from you directly and answer any questions regarding himself or B MOVIE ONLINE.

If for nothing more than to stop referring to himself in the third person in this message.
